Relief from cost of living increases

Working families are facing high prices for everything from gas, groceries, to electric vehicles. We need lawmakers who understand the struggles of community members living paycheck to paycheck. Trevor Smith gets it, and will fight for policies that advance change and don’t burden middle class household budgets.

Living wages jobs matter. Facing climate change, we have an opportunity to create green living wage jobs for our future. Trevor is committed to ensuring job opportunities are inclusive and support a diverse workforce. Trevor will also prioritize funding for safe walking and cycling routes in our region. He will legislate with urgency to create more green transportation options in our urban areas and rural communities.

MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS PREVENTION, STABILIZATION & RECOVERY

Decades of underfunding have put pressure on our local communities to heal a national problem. Trevor will partner from the bottom up to fund and create more services for community members in crisis.

Trevor Smith stands with women and will protect the right to make your own healthcare decisions. In the face of the most conservative US Supreme Court in decades, Trevor Smith will uphold Washington values that support family planning and individual choice.

As we expand assistance for the vulnerable, we need to provide equal efforts to the creation of workforce housing. Cashiers, entry-level professionals, tradespeople, and office workers all need and deserve safe, stable housing in our community. Trevor will champion policies that will reinvigorate the development of new housing for the middle class.

Keep our communities safe

New police accountability laws from Olympia have not lived up to their promise and the consequences have been felt across our region. We need new leadership that can bring law enforcement and community members together to reform our policing system in a way that addresses historical injustices and does not place public safety at risk.
